Capture dates in photo metadata

Image files may contain several timestamp fields describing when the photo was captured, digitized or modified.

Why remove a capture date?

A date can reveal a routine, event timeline or travel window. It is not always sensitive, but it is worth reviewing before publishing a photo widely.
